Jewellery as a form of Expressions - By Riddhima Sen

Jewellery is an expression of emotions. Indian women and as a matter of fact, women across the world, have been adorning jewellery since the longest amount of time. Somewhere it is made of gold, and somewhere of brass. The brass rings worn by tribal African women is a sign of culture and their independent and collective identity. Handcrafted jewellery are often made using materials like clothes and other recyclable and reusable things. The usage of recyclable materials which are easily available at home as well adds to the feelings with which the things are crafted as well. A piece of jewellery is more than a mere piece of metal or cloth- somebody’s dream or somebody’s gift.
